John Binks is an award-winning and bestselling author, technologist, business leader, and longtime advocate for making artificial intelligence understandable and useful for everyday people.
He is the author of the Bots & Bosses book series, including Bots & Bosses, Bots & Bytes, Bots & Brilliance, Bots & Badges, and the Bots & Bosses AI Activity Book. His work explores the rapidly changing relationship between artificial intelligence, technology, leadership, business, and the people expected to work alongside these new tools.

The series begins with AI Made Simple: A Plain-English Guide to Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models, followed by ChatGPT Made Simple: Practical Uses, Prompts, Productivity, and Common Mistakes. Additional Made Simple titles are planned as the series continues to translate complex topics into practical, approachable explanations.

His perspective combines decades of real-world leadership and technology experience with a practical understanding of how emerging technologies affect organizations, managers, employees, and everyday life.
In addition to writing, John is a public speaker and host of the Bots & Bosses Podcast, where he continues conversations about AI, leadership, technology, and the future of work. He is also an active member of The Authors Guild.
Away from technology and writing, John is a military veteran, private pilot, pickleball enthusiast, and recreational axe thrower.
